Cover: After a bucket list camping trip at Two Jack Lake campground in Banff, an early morning walk was rewarded with a view of the valley and Mount Astley being touched by the rising sun.
The Standish Viewing Deck at Banff Sunshine Village always offers a quiet and comfy place to enjoy the view when taking a break from skiing. I particularly love when the clouds are inverted down in the valley.
A fresh snowfall creating a wintery scene as the Bow River flows its way through Canmore.
A trip up the Banff Gondola offers easy access to an incredible view of the Town of Banff and many iconic landmarks including Cascade Mountain, The Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls and the Bow River, and Lake Minnewanka.
My first trip back to Jasper after the devastating wildfire in 2024 showed the extent of devastation and damage to the townsite and surrounding landscapes. Walking around Athabasca Falls showed the power between fire and water, where the mist/humidity was enough to protect the entire area from being engulfed in flames.
This was one of prettiest sunrises I’ve seen at Two Jack Lake as my favourite mountain, Mount Rundle, turned pink with the sky. Fun Fact: take a look back at the cover and you’ll be able to see the spot this photo was taken!
This beautiful bull elk didn’t mind interrupting the golf game as he strolled along the Banff Springs course.
I love this little spot tucked in the trees and away from the crowds along Bow Lake- it’s extra special when it’s calm and makes Bow Lake look like glass.
Somewhere over the rainbow, the promise of light and hope shines through a storm along the Icefields Parkway.
Fall is my favourite season in the Rockies as the changing leaves bring extra pops of colour to already incredible views, like this one at Ram Falls.
When fall and winter collide along the Bow River. The first layer of snow canvasses the shoreline while the vibrant fall colours appear brighter.
Getting to watch the Northern Lights dance above the mountain tops is always extraordinary, but it’s extra special when a usually busy and windy place like Lake Minnewanka is empty and calm.
This sunrise over the Three Sisters and Bow River through Canmore is one of most spectacular views I’ve been lucky enough to see.
